In a book on nasology, I read the suggestion that people with a celestial (that is, upturned) nose tend to be drawn to the arts and spirituality.

I’m pretty sure that it was this book too that brought up the example of black people’s attraction to the soul and everything to which it pertains (by which they meant the dances, the method of singing, etc.). Listening to Miles Davis, how can one doubt that this is precisely what is taking place? The guy seemed to just get it.
